On August 1st, 2015, a cleanup campaign was held in the city of Praia, in Cabo Verde. The activity began at the Johrei Center’s street, located in Ponta d’Água neighborhood. Initially, 13 faithful took part in the campaign, but gradually over 300 people from the neighborhood joined the group in the activity.

The campaign was also supported by the government, that provided collection machines, trucks and other equipment.

Members took the opportunity to talk about the importance of spiritual and material cleaning, and also talked about Homegrown Vegetable Garden. As a result, 16 people were conducted to the church that day. In addition, Homegrown Vegetable Gardens were made in two neighboring houses, and other 20 gardens were requested among other neighbors.
